Full-Time Nurturing Families Parenting Facilitator Opportunity

Moses House Ministries is seeking candidates for our Parenting Facilitator position.

 

Moses House Ministries provides help and offers hope to families with young children living in the High Desert. For the past 27 years, we have been a beacon of hope, offering a range of services designed to empower families and individuals to overcome adversity and achieve their God-given potential. We work as a team to see lives changed. We offer helping hands and caring hearts to families in crisis, ensuring children grow up in nurturing homes – free from the risks of abuse and/or neglect. We wrap all of our services around each family, offering a framework for building success, while providing support to grow.

As a Parenting Facilitator, you will be at the forefront of our ministry, equipping parents and caregivers with the knowledge, strategies, and confidence to navigate various parenting stages and challenges. Your role will involve facilitating group-based classes, providing one-on-one guidance that empowers parents to create nurturing and supportive environments for their children, and leading workshops relating to family strengthening.

Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver engaging and informative parenting sessions utilizing our Nurturing Families™ Curriculum.

  • Provide one-on-one consultations to parents and caregivers, offering personalized guidance and support tailored to their unique situations.

  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where participants can openly share their experiences and concerns.

  • Address a wide range of parenting topics, including child development, effective communication, discipline strategies, and promoting positive behavior.

  • Stay up-to-date on current trends and research in parenting and child development.

  • Utilize various teaching methods and interactive activities to enhance learning experiences.

  • Maintain accurate records of participant attendance and feedback.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field preferred;

  • Experience facilitating group discussions and/or classes;

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;

  • Empathetic and approachable demeanor, with the ability to connect with diverse groups of parents and caregivers;

  • Passion for empowering parents and improving family dynamics;

  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles;

  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish), but not required;

  • Available to work flexible hours where necessary, including early evenings.
