Marriage and Parenting Facilitator

Purpose

​

The Marriage and Parenting Facilitator (MA & PA Facilitator) coordinates with Case Managers and Childcare Facilitators to carry out effective ministry to couples enrolled in the MA & PA program. The MA & PA Facilitator will develop meaningful work relationship with couples, families, coordinators, staff, and volunteers that provide training, encouragement, support, and accountability. The purpose of the MA & PA Facilitator position is to facilitate couples successful learning and completion of the MA & PA Program leading to safe and stable marriages where children thrive in their development.

Responsible for

​

  • Assist with and maintain the Marriage and Parenting Program, materials, logistics, and sites, and associated childcare services for classes.

  • Recruit and prepare groups of potential participants for upcoming classes.

  • Facilitate group-based Marriage and Parenting sessions throughout the High Desert region. 

  • Maintain highly effective education practices, building group cohesion and rapport with individual participants, ensuring positive outcomes for all parents in each group.

  • Provide individual sessions and make-up classes based on availability of participants; some home-visits may be necessary.

  • Provide case management services and assessments to participants interested in the MA & PA program.

  • Coordinate with Project Director on monthly micro-workshops (R.O.O.T.S) for community outreach and program development. 

  • Collect and report to funding agencies and to Project Manager with appropriate marriage-education data and evaluation.

  • Attend general client meetings, staff meetings, and other training meetings

  • Interact with public at speaking engagements and other community outreaches, when scheduled, assisting with grant proposals and developing resources as needed.

  • Maintain a positive working relationship with staff, mentors, and other volunteers, as well as with community partners to whom clients are referred for services.

  • Other duties as needed that will benefit the clients served and contribute to the success of our mission.

40 hours per week
