Receptionist/ Intake Specialist


The Receptionist works with the Executive Director and office staff to facilitate effective ministry to parents and their children. The Receptionist will act as an initial point of contact for the office, welcoming and engaging clients and potential clients to the facility. The Receptionist provides some client services as necessary and appropriate to fulfill requests for emergency supplies for families.

Description of Duties

  • Answer, screen and direct calls;

  • Take and relay messages;

  • Provide callers with information as requested;

  • Greet all visitors and direct to appropriate destination;

  • Keep track of what staff are “In” or “Out” to maintain availability to community;

  • Maintain security log;

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to staff members as needed;

  • Monitor equipment and keep paper stocked;

  • Keep track of inventory for usage and need;

  • Keep reception area neat and tidy;

  • Provide intake paperwork to potential clients and verify accuracy;

  • Input intake paperwork into client database;

  • Provide distribution of Emergency Supplies as necessary;

  • Ensure potential clients are aware of services and program offered for their benefit;

Time Requirement

40 hours per week
