Moses House Minsitries

Welcome to Moses House!  Moses House Ministries provides mothers a safe and caring environment in which to make a plan for moving from their desperate situation and unhealthy lifestyles to success and self-sufficiency through our long-term, multi-service resource center and support programs.

Our clients may be 12-years-old and pregnant or 45-years-old with three teenagers and a toddler, and they are eligible for our services until their youngest child is six years old—they may be in our program for up to six years or more. We serve them, regardless of income and without discrimination.

Moving a single-mother family from desperation to self-sufficiency is not an easy process, especially when dealing with ingrained habits and unhealthy lifestyles. But, that's why we're here—to show mercy with loving support as they climb their way to success.

As we guide a mother to the resources she needs in order to work her plan successfully, we are mindful that at least two lives will be directly impacted by the decisions she makes. Each child of a stable mother who takes responsibility for her actions, entrusts her life to God, and teaches her children to do the same, gives us hope for the next generation

If you don't find what you need on our website, please give us a call or send an email. We will do whatever we can to help you find the resources you need for success. If you would like to get involved in this incredible mission, click HERE to learn more.

Moses House Family Thrift Store

--the “smell-good” thrift store—

We didn’t say it; our customers did!  Their number one comment is that our store smells good.  The second is that it is neat and clean. Tamara Ricci and her superb volunteer staff have done a remarkable job in transforming our little boutique, once located inside our main facility, into a very nice retail store on which we are proud to place the brand, Moses House.

The thrift store still works as an incentive store for our clients, who spend their store credits earned by following their individualized plans made in case management at Moses House. Clients earn store credit when they complete activities related to their goals toward self-sufficiency.  This may include keeping medical appointments, doing book reports, going to church or other beneficial community functions—even attending classes offered by other organizations.  Many of our moms have been able to furnish their apartments and nurseries thanks to thoughtful and kind donations from the community.

Our staff launders all clothing that we receive unless it is donated in pre-cleaned condition. We gratefully receive new items, also, with any store tags removed prior to display.  Very nice donations are often set aside in a special, client-only section at our resource center.

We are very grateful to our generous community, whose donations have made this milestone possible.  All proceeds directly benefit Moses House and our clients, and our goal is for the store to help support our general operating expenses in these challenging times.

Please stop by and check us out in the Atstar Shopping Center just south of Costco in Victorville, near Midway Appliances and next to Apria Health Care.  Click here for the map.
